DSP in 2026 - Exciting times ahead!
Feb 03, 2026
What's up for DSP in 2026, you ask?
Well, after a relatively quiet and, dare I say, slow 2025, the year 2026 is looking to be an exciting year for DSP, barring any pandemics, mountainous hurricanes and biblical flood waters, or 100-year ice storms.
As Western North Carolina continues to rebuild after the devastation of Hurricane Helene in late September 2024, so does DSP, and with a revitalized look at the photography industry landscape, not to mention a fresh look at the somewhat altered Appalachian landscape!
Here are some of the projects and new developments that are in the works, with plans to roll things out over the course of the year:
- An all-new DSP website, focusing on Music, Travel, and Lifestyle Photography
- Introduction of DSP "Garden Photography" service
- Special photography promotion for Asheville / WNC bands and artists
- A return to the Beech Mountain Resort as house photographer to document their 2026 Summer Concert Series
- Hopeful return to RiverBeat Festival (Memphis, TN), Earl Scruggs Music Festival (Tryon, NC), and the Mountain Song Festival (Brevard, NC), amongst other large music event productions
- An all-new DSP Print Shop, featuring Limited Edition prints, affordable "drop-ship" prints, and special deals on a wide variety of inventory items
- Publication of the first DSP coffee table book, featuring a retrospective of my music photography work at the Salvage Station music venue in Asheville, NC
- A dedicated website and sub-brand for DSP workshops, tours, and online courses
- DSP AirBnB "Experiences" (private photography instruction & photo tours)
- Frequent blog posts and newsletters, and I may even get around to getting the DSP YouTube channel out of its dormancy
- And, much, much more!
And, if that doesn't keep me busy enough, I have a couple of other special surprises in store to expand my entrepreneurial ambitions!
With a new DSP website and marketing infrastructure currently under development, expect a few changes to my marketing strategy and tactics (including improved and more frequent communication with my clients, followers, and fans!).
I do not have a set target date for the new DSP site, but I do expect this particular iteration to be retired by the end of February.
In the meantime, if there is anything that DSP can do to help with your photography, art, or learning needs, please give me a shout.
Stay tuned for more details and new announcements!
