In early 2003, David Simchock set off to establish himself as a highly-respected travel photographer with his creative venture, Vagabond Vistas Photography. Within months of its launch, David’s worldly images were being featured in major publications across the country, and over time, they have received numerous prestigious awards.

The demands being made on any travel photographer are great, requiring him to capture the spirit of a diverse range of subject matter, from landscapes to people to architecture and more. These very challenges are what led David to explore other facets of the photography art form, leading him down an ever-evolving path of creativity.

Over the past few years, David has expanded his repertoire of services well beyond the “travel” spectrum and the recent launch of David Simchock Photography (“DSP”) is a clear reflection of his consistent development as a top-grade artist. His mastery of the “keep it simple” philosophy that is followed by so many of the world’s greatest travel photographers has allowed him to transform his on-the-road practical approach to a wide range subject matter in his own locale. True to his travel work ethic, David’s imagery remains candid and true-to-life as he continues to provide creative solutions to an increasing list of clients both local and further afield. After eight fulfilling years of operation in the Northeast USA, David now calls North Carolina his home and operates out of a studio in the River Arts District of Asheville.

Though DSP is a clear and intentional departure from the focus of Vagabond Vistas, David continues to grow his photography instructional offerings under the Vagabond Vistas banner.
